Native Plants

List of Plants Native to Laramie County, Wyoming, is list compiled by the Laramie County Master Gardeners (current as of March 2025). Special thanks to Nancy L. and Kommi M. for creating and maintaining this list.

WERA-1013: Native Plants for the Intermountain West is an officially recognized Western Education/Extension and Research Activity designed to enhance the introduction and evaluation of native plants and to provide education concerning their use and propagation. The people involved make up a working group of western US university and nursery professionals who wish to advance the use of native plants in landscaping and gardening. This website was formerly hosted by the University of Wyoming Extension.

The Rocky Mountain Herbarium is the largest facility of its kind between Saint Louis and the West Coast. RIt is the largest collection of Wyoming and Rocky Mountain plants in the world and reflects the region's biological diversity and evolutionary history.
