Proposed Changes to 2024 LCMG Bylaws and Policies & Procedures

Active Members approved amendments at the June 20, 2024, Monthly Membership Meeting.  Drafts are provided below until final versions are provided by the Bylaws Committee.

When the 2024 LCMG Bylaws and Policies & Procedures were approved by the Active Membership on April 18, 2024, it was apparent changes were needed.  The 2024 Bylaws Committee has since met and recommends improvements to both documents including modifying the scope of the new Project Development Committee and adding a LCMG Privacy Policy specifying how members' personal identifying information will be handled and used.

The Active Membership is now asked to review the recommended updates generated by the Bylaws Committee and reflected in the following documents.  Active Membership will vote on the recommended updates at the June 20, 2024, LCMG Membership Meeting.

If you cannot attend the June 20, 2024, LCMG Membership Meeting, you may name someone else to vote in your absence if you complete, sign, and submit a Proxy Form to the LCMG Secretary (secretary@lcmg.org) prior to the meeting (reference: 2024 LCMG Policies & Procedures, paragraph 6.C).

  • Final draft of recommended changes to Bylaws (underline/strikeout in .pdf format), 11 pages (updated as of May 19, 2024 -- updated since initial draft emailed by the LCMG President to Active Membership on May 17, 2024; editorial changed include adding the words "Final Draft" in the opening paragraph and footer; and correction of several typos at the top of page 4 in section 4 (many thanks to Marie M. for catching the typos!))

  • Rationale Table (.pdf format, 2 pages) to assist in understanding the rationale of the proposed edit.  Page numbers in the table refer to page numbers in the underline/strikeout versions only.  If there is a discrepancy between the Rationale Table and the underline/strikeout .pdf files, the latter are controlling.

If you need the Word version for any of the files (Excel for the Rationale Table), or if you have questions or comments, you are invited to please send an email to the Bylaws Committee Chairperson (Becky M.) at bylaws@lcmg.org.
